As long as I can remember, candy barks have been a big part of the holiday season. I remember Almond Bark being a yearly classic when I was a kid, but I was never a big fan of it.

Now I love Almond Bark, but I love all the other variations of bark recipes even more. You can really make an almost endless amount of flavor combinations in this sweet treat.

We have an extra delicious and also pretty version today with this Oreo Peppermint Bark recipe. It’s so good!

Only a few ingredients are needed to make the recipe: OREOs, Starlight Mints (or other peppermint candy like a crushed candy cane), and then either chocolate and white chocolate chips OR chocolate and white chocolate candy coating.

For the chocolate you can choose to use either milk chocolate, semi sweet or dark chocolate.

This Christmas OREO bark is a great addition to cookie trays. You can also package it up in cellophane bags and tie with Christmas-themed ribbon to give as gifts or party favors.

INGREDIENTS
20 Starlight Mints or 10 small Candy Canes
12 Oreos
8 oz Chocolate Chips or Chocolate Candy Coating
8 oz White Chocolate Chips, White Chocolate Candy Coating/Almond Bark

How to Make Oreo Peppermint Bark

Line a baking sheetcookie sheet with wax paper.
Process Oreos in food processor until crushed into larger pieces.

Melt chocolate chips by microwaving 45 seconds and stirring and repeating until melted and smooth.
Pour onto prepared pan and smooth into an even layer.
Distribute crushed Oreos over the chocolate.

Place in refrigerator for 15 minutes to set up.
Process mints in food processor until crushed.
Melt white chocolate chips by microwaving 45 seconds and stirring and repeating until melted and smooth.
Pour onto cooled chocolate and Oreos and smooth to cover.

Distribute peppermint over the white chocolate layer.
Place peppermint Oreo bark in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set up.
Break into pieces before serving.
